How to play
Everyone gets the same guitar neck and the same pieces each day. Place every piece so all of its dots land on notes of today's scale.
The board
- The neck is vertical: strings are columns (low E on the left), frets 0–12 run down the page. Left-handed players can flip it with the L button.
- Today's scale and its notes are listed at the top, but the scale notes on the neck are hidden. Only the roots are marked, with dashed gold rings.
- You can see every piece that's coming, so plan ahead.
Placing pieces
- Mouse: hover to aim, click to place. Touch: tap to aim, tap the same spot again to place.
- If any dot lands on a note outside the scale, that's a strike: the piece is used up and the wrong notes flash red with their names.
- If a piece has no in-scale spot left anywhere, it's skipped with no strike.
Scoring
- Cover every scale note on a string: ★★★.
- Cover every scale note on a fret (frets with at least two scale notes): ★.
- Par is what the puzzle's own solver scored. Beating it takes planning.
- Peek shows the scale for a moment. It's allowed, but it goes on your share card.
The share card
